What you'll do
Establish and oversee safeguarding frameworks for client fiat and virtual assets in line with MiCA requirements.
Ensure strict segregation between company assets and client assets across all wallets and bank accounts.
Partner with Technology, Product, and Compliance teams to oversee wallet architecture, access controls, key management, and operational risk controls.
Oversee reconciliation processes, safeguarding accounts, asset protection measures, and internal custody procedures.
Lead the preparation of safeguarding-related reports and documentation for regulators and external auditors.
Maintain and continuously improve incident management and escalation procedures for any safeguarding breaches.

What you'll need
University degree in Law, Finance, Risk, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in crypto custody, wallet infrastructure, risk management, cybersecurity, or financial safeguarding roles.
Strong understanding of blockchain infrastructure, wallet technologies, and asset segregation principles.
Hands-on experience working with centralized exchange (CEX) wallet systems, including integration and operational workflows.
Solid technical background with experience in Java or Golang.
Familiarity with MiCA requirements related to safeguarding and asset protection.
Fluent English proficiency; English can be used as the primary working language.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical, product, and compliance teams.
Willingness to relocate to Austria and work onsite, or currently based in Austria and available for onsite work.
